Agencies

Teams & roles

An agency has two kinds of people around its sites: your staff, who work across the portfolio, and your clients, who get access to their own site. The two have different scopes.

Agency staff

Staff are members of the agency itself:

  • Admins manage the whole portfolio plus agency settings — billing, white-label, and team.
  • Members work within the specific client sites they're assigned to.

You invite staff from the agency console's Team area; they accept an invitation to join. (Note the agency console itself is currently admin-only — members operate inside the client sites they're given access to rather than in the agency-level console.)

Client access

Clients are added to their own site using the standard per-site roles — owner, editor, viewer, or a custom permission set. This is how you give a client the ability to edit their content or view their analytics without exposing the rest of your portfolio.

What clients can't do

On agency-owned sites, some controls are reserved for agency staff and hidden from end-client roles — for example managing the domain or deleting the site. Billing controls don't appear on agency sites at all, because billing is central to the agency. This keeps clients focused on their content while you retain control of the infrastructure and the commercial relationship.
