Agencies

Overview

An agency runs a portfolio of client websites under one account, one brand, and one invoice. It's the model for developers and studios building sites for clients at scale: every site gets the full feature set, you manage them all from one place, and you set your own retail pricing on top of a flat wholesale rate.

What an agency gives you

  • A portfolio of client sites managed from a single account.
  • The full Business feature set on every site — the database, auth, email, realtime, chatbot, SEO, and rank tracking are all available, with no plan-picking or upsell prompts shown to your clients.
  • White-label — run the app on your own hostname with your brand.
  • Central billing — one subscription that scales with your active sites; you keep the margin.
  • Staff and client roles — your team manages the portfolio; clients get scoped access to their own site.

The console

Agencies get a dedicated console in the app — a dashboard for the portfolio, plus team, billing, and settings. It's derived from your account, so there's no site to pick first. Note the agency console is currently admin-only: agency admins manage the agency, while members work within the specific client sites they're assigned to.

Email and reputation

Because an agency sends email across many client sites, it gets a portfolio-wide view of sending volume and delivery reputation, with per-site limits that contain any single site — so one client's mistake can't jeopardize the others. See Email deliverability.

Building for clients

Everything in Build & deploy and Capabilities applies to agency sites. The CLI and API keys are the usual way agencies work at scale — pull a client site, edit it, publish it — covered in CLI & API keys.
